Cherokee County Volunteers

All volunteer coordinator opportunities required monthly reports to be given to the chapter coordinators.  Coordinators of various volunteer opportunities are required to work closely with MADD volunteers and organize volunteers and maintain open and effective communication with each volunteer.

Volunteers are needed immediately for the following:

VIP Speakers - Pre screening and strong commitment required to fulfill this volunteer opportunity.  Speakers will speak at the monthly Victim Impact Panel held at the courthouse.  Sharon Hanawalt is the Coordinator for the MADD Cherokee County Chapter.  If you are interested in speaking of helping with the VIP please contact the Chapter Office.

School & Youth Coordinator - Coordinate volunteers for local schools and youth programs, very strong commitment required.  Pre screening and/or training required to fulfill this volunteer opportunity.

Court Monitor Coordinator - Help monitor all courts within Cherokee County.  Training is required.  Also pre screening required to fulfill this volunteer opportunity.  You will be given all required forms to fill out and submit to the chapter to monitor the DUI cases in the county courtrooms.

Public Relations Coordinator - Pre screening and/or training required to fulfill this volunteer opportunity.  Strong commitment required.  You will be responsible for coordinating volunteers and local area events in which MADD will be present.  Larry Hanawalt is the Coordinator for the MADD Cherokee County Chapter.  If you are interested in helping, please contact the Chapter Office.

Fundraising Coordinator - Pre screening and/or training required to fulfill this volunteer opportunity.  Lynda Howell is the Coordinator for the MADD Cherokee County Chapter.  If you are interested in helping, please contact the Chapter Office.

Law Enforcement Coordinator - Coordinate volunteers to assist and communicate with all Law Enforcement Agencies within Cherokee County (as well as other counties).  Pre screening and/or training may be required to fulfill this volunteer opportunity.  Niki Tapley is the Coordinator for the MADD Cherokee Chapter.  If you are interested in helping, please contact the Chapter Office.
